Our 30–45 Minute Family Wash Routine
Works great at a campground spigot or driveway. Shade is your friend—less spotting, happier results.
- Pre-Rinse (2–5 min)
Connect the brush kit to your hose, set water to ON, and rinse top-down to knock off loose dirt. - Mix Soap (2 min)
Bucket wash: add the Premium RV Wash & Wax per label and fill with water.
Foam cannon: same soap, just follow the cannon’s ratio. - Soapy Pass (10–15 min)
- Roof and upper walls: soft brush head + soapy water.
- Windows/decals: swap to the chenille mop for extra-gentle contact.
- Work in sections so soap doesn’t dry on the panel.
- Rinse as You Go (5–10 min)
Toggle the on/off switch to rinse each section before moving on. Top → bottom. - Dry the Glass (5 min)
Use the window squeegee for streak-free windows and mirrors. Follow with a dry microfiber if needed. - Final Quick Check (2–3 min)
Hit missed spots, rinse the brush/mop, coil the pole sections, and you’re done.
Kid-Helper Friendly (With Safety in Mind)
- Let younger kids spray and rinse with supervision.
- Older kids can handle the chenille mop on windows and lower panels.
- Keep footing secure—no climbing on wet ladders or the RV roof.
Pro Tips From the Road
- Start in the shade or early evening to reduce water spots.
- Top down always—roof → cap → sides → wheels.
- Swap heads fast: brush for big panels, mop for glass/decals, squeegee to finish windows.
- Don’t over-soap—the wash/wax is concentrated and rinses cleaner at the right mix.
- Monthly wax layer: the built-in wax helps, but a periodic dedicated spray wax boosts gloss and UV defense.
FAQs
Is the soap safe on decals and coated surfaces?
Yes—it's labeled safe for plastic, rubber, and painted surfaces (which covers common RV sidewall/graphic materials). Always test a small area first.
Foam cannon or bucket?
Both work. Foam cannon is faster for large panels; bucket is simple and campground-friendly. We LOVE this Greenworks powerwasher for the RV because it's nice and compact and compatable with our other Greenworks tools. For example, the leaf blower we use all the time uses the same batteries.
Will the brush scratch?
The kit uses soft, no-scratch bristles and a chenille mop for delicate areas. Keep the head clean—rinse grit out often.
How do you prevent streaks on windows?
Rinse thoroughly, squeegee, then a quick microfiber pass on edges.
